AI Band-Aid: Turning Operational Pain Points into High-Impact AI Solutions
In this fast-paced workshop, Professor Alexiei Dingli shows how to patch day-to-day business headaches with smart, practical AI. Working on a simple template, the group first writes a clear, statement of the problem and the benefit of fixing it. They then check three essentials: what data already exists, which team skills are available, and where the new tool would integrate into current systems. A fast return-on-investment check follows—rough cost, likely savings, pay-back time, and any early warning signs. By the end, every participant holds a plain-language, one-page plan that spells out why the idea matters, how it works and what it’s worth, equipping them to launch a small AI project that proves its value and paves the way for bigger wins.
